Tarkarli Beach

Tarkarli is amongst the premiere destinations promoted by M.T.D.C. Notwithstanding the proximity to Goa, Tarkarli still is one of the most popular beaches in southern Konkan. With the Karli backwaters on one side and the turqoise blue sea on the other, Tarkarli is the most popular beach in Malvan. Tarkarli beach extends on to Wayari beach to its north and Devbaug to its southern side.

With a long picturesque coastline and beaches extending from Achara in the north to the little peninsular of Devbag in the southern end Malvan is blessed with some of the best beaches in Maharashtra with the backwaters running parallel to the sea at many places. Malvan boasts of a turqoise blue sea and talcum soft white sand beaches!

Sea World in Tondavali

The state government has approved a Rs.-509 crore project to build India's first oceanarium in Todavali, half an hour from Malvan town near the Kalaval creek. Sea World, which is slated to begin construction in September 2014, will include theme-based restaurants, 3D dome & theatre, an underwater studio for film shooting and a mock Antarctica among several other attractions. The park is expected to be open to public in three years.

Chivla Beach

A small arc shaped beach with rocky stretches on either end of the arc, Chivla is one of the nearest beach from the Malvan town. The rock gardens is very close to the Chivla beach.

Kolamb Beach

A secluded beach in Malvan, Kolamb beach with the a creek at one end is the ideal place to stay if you are looking for some alone time or planning to camp by the beach.


Devbaug - Malvan
Devbag Beach

The little fishing village of Devbag lies wedged between the sea and Karli river to the south of Tarkarli beach. A peninsula with the sea on one side and the Karli river on the other Devbag is amongst the most beautiful regions in Malvan.
